MenuSpring's founder chose VeriQual as the technology solution provider after evaluating several software development companies. MenuSpring wanted to bring the world of food to internet user's fingertips by providing restaurant and menu information for every restaurant in London. Users would be able to review, rate, take pictures and share their restaurant discoveries with friends over Facebook and Twitter. With more than 800,000 dishes from over 8,500 restaurants across London, MenuSpring now makes the world of food accessible via a website as well as iPhone and Android apps developed by VeriQual.
Solution
We chose CodeIgnitor as the platform to build the website. With a dedicated team of developers, quality Assurance resources and designers, we created the website which asked for many innovations, such as segmenting London into areas on an interactive map, collapsable menus which worked intuitively, Geo-location, easy sharing, reviewing options and more. We developed the web services which would be consumed by the iPhone and Android apps and created the apps themselves in less than 8 weeks each from design stage to completion. MenuSpring received funding of £55k in 2013 based on the products we built and is a partner for Timeout, providing information about London Restaurants via a Web Service.
